I love me a good plate of spicy chicken wings! This weekend I came up with this recipe for our Saturday night family dinner and they were gone in no time ; this wings were spectacular!

INGREDIENTS.
For the marinade
-18 chicken wings
-vegetable oil
-2 tbs. garlic powder
-1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 lime
-2 tbs. paprika
-1 tbs. black pepper
For the BBQ sauce
-1 cupHeinz garlic chilli sauce
-1 sachet tomato paste
- 1 tsp. worcesteshire sauce
-1 tbs brown sugar
-1 tsp. salt
-1 tbs. pineapple sweet chilli sauce
-1 cup hot water
PROCEDURE .
-In a large bowl squeeze the juice of a fresh lime over the wings. Add in your salt and rub in evenly.
- Coat your chicken wings with vegetable oil (I used 2 tbs. vegetable oil) and add in your paprika powder , garlic powder, and black pepper ; rub in evenly. (If you can take the heat, you may add 1 tsp. chilli powder for extra spice!)
-Cover with cling film and marinate in the fridge for at least three hours.( preferably overnight)
-Grease baking tray with olive oil and bake chicken wings for 20 minutes 250 degrees celsius / 482 degrees fahrenheit.
-Turn the wings after 20 min or so or when the top is golden brown and bake for another 15- 20 minutes.
Keep some of the juices from the chicken to be used in the BBQ sauce.
In the meantime let's get the BBQ sauce going !
BBQ SAUCE
- Use 2 tbs. of the chicken juices that came out during baking.
-Add in your pineapple chilli sauce, worcesteshire sauce, Heinz garlic chilli sauce , salt and tomato paste .
- Whisk evenly .Add 1 cup of hot water and bring to a boil until thick.
-Once wings are done; coat with the BBQ sauce and bake for 10- 15 more minutes.
-Garnish with cilantro or spring onion and dig in!
This wings go great with almost anything! Give it a try!
